Type material (not examined). Holotype of L. paradux (No 10131) and 10 paratypes larvae from Murinae gen. sp. (“mouse”), INDIA: Jammu and Kashmir State, Baltal , 28 October 1945, coll. S. L. Kalra. Type series is deposited in SAM.
Material examined. Holotype of L. montanum (No 4321, Т-Тr.-26) from Chionomys gud (Satunin) , RUSSIA: Dagestan, Akhtynsky District, Khnov, 21 June 1988, coll. A. B. Shatrov. Paratypes: 15 larvae from Ch. gud , Apodemus (Sylvaemus) sp., and Microtus sp. , 21–22 June 1988, other data same. Type series is deposited in ZIN.
Remarks. L. montanum differs from L. paradux in less numerous idiosomal setae only (DS = 46–64 vs. 66 and NDV = 89–114 vs. 116). With regard to strong size variation observed in L. montanum , it is evident, that L. paradux from its type locality represents a boundary variant of the setae number within the same species.
