Uhleroides chariclo ( Walker, 1850)

Cicada chariclo Walker 1850: 146 ( Cuba).

Remarks. The species was originally described from Cuba ( Walker 1850) and all records other than those occurring in synopses are also from Cuba ( Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013). Once again, Distant (1906) then reported that the species occurred in the Antilles which he must have considered to include both the Greater and Lesser Antilles. The species is considered to have been reported only from the Greater Antilles and is not considered to be part of the Lesser Antilles cicada fauna.

Distribution. The species is known only from Cuba ( Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013).
