Rhomboda moulmeinensis (C.S.P. Parish & Rchb.f.) Ormerod (1995: 325)

Type: — MYANMAR. Moulmein, Parish 237 (holotype W, isotype K 000387635!).

Homotypic synonyms: — Hetaeria moulmeinensis Parish & Reichenbach (1874: 142) ; Zeuxine moulmeinensis (C.S.P. Parish & Rchb.f.) Hooker (1890: 109) ; Odontochilus moulmeinensis (C.S.P. Parish & Rchb.f.) Tang & Wang (1951: 70–71) ; Anoectochilus moulmeinensis (C.S.P. Parish & Rchb.f.) Seidenfaden (1971: 307) .

Heterotypic synonyms: — Anoectochilus multiflorus Rolfe ex Downie (1925: 412–413) . Type :— THAILAND. Doi Sutep, in very shady jungle to summit, Kerr 197 (holotype & isotype K!); Odontochilus multiflorus (Rolfe ex Downie) Tang & Wang (1936: 7) .

Flowering: —August–October.

Habitat: —Under forests at 1400–1600 m.

Distribution: — CHINA: Yunnan. Myanmar, Thailand.

Additional specimens examined: — CHINA. Yunnan: Syemao , 1500 m, Henry 12724 ( K!) ; Menglian, Lafu , 1600 m, under evergreen broad-leaved forests, 21 November 2013, Tan 802 6 ( HITBC!) ; Ruili City, Mt. Huyong , 1400 m, 10 August 2012, Tian & Hu 697 ( HSNU!) ; MYANMAR. Moulmein, Lobb s. n. ( K000387712 !) .

Notes: —Fig. 2B comprises three plants, the middle one (K000387636) without collector and collection number draws our attention because its lip is similar to that of Rhomboda fanjingensis , but the shape of leaves and calli are different. Probably it is an undescribed species, but more information and further study are needed before describing it.

Leaves green or grayish green, midvein with a broad white stripe, green, midvein without white stripe, elliptic or ovate, conspicuous or not, ovate-lanceolate, 2.8–6.7 × 1.5–3.3 7.0–11.0 × 3.0– 4.2 cm, petiole-like base and tubular cm, petiole-like base and tubular sheath 1.2–2.7 cm sheath 1.5–4.8 cm

Inflorescence 13.0– 15.5 cm, laxly 6–18-flowered 18.0–22.0 cm, laxly 14–22-flowered

Floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, 5.0–11.0 × 3.0–5.0 mm ovate, ca. 8.0 × 3.0 mm

Ovary and pedicel 9.0–13.0 × 1.5–2.0 mm 8.0–13.0 × 1.5–2.4 mm

Dorsal sepal abaxially sparsely pubescent, 6.5–7.7 mm abaxially glabrous, ca. 9.0 mm

Lateral sepals abaxially sparsely pubescent, spreading to reflexed, ovate- abaxially glabrous, spreading, broadly ovate, ca. 7.5 lanceolate, 7.0–9.0 × 3.0–4.0 mm × 5.0 mm

Petals narrow-oblong, apex long acuminate, lateral side and suborbicular, apex curved, white, ca. 8.5 × 7.0 mm apex suffused with brick-red, 7.0–9.0 × 2.7–3.0 mm

Hypochile reddish brown, 3.0–5.2 × 3.0– 4.5 mm, with flanges on the pink, 2.8 × 3.6 mm, flanges inconspicuous exterior surfaces

Calli glands subcircular, about as wide as long glands clavate-oblongoid, about twice as long as wide

Epichile lobes apical margin rugulate, erose or inconspicuous, 5.1–6.5 × apex margin erose, ca. 5.0 × 2.8 mm

4.5–4.7 mm

Column 3.5–4.1 mm, with 2 parallel large wings, lug on both sides ca. 3.5 mm, with 2 parallel large wings, without lug of lower part of wings, lug apex irregularly denticulate
