Type: — NEPAL. Gukkurrum: Mayo, 1821, Wallich 7380 A (holotype K!).
Homotypic synonyms: — Monochilus flavus Wallich ex Lindley (1840b: 487) ; Haplochilus flavus (Wall. ex Lindl.) Dietrich (1852: 172) .
Heterotypic synonyms: — Zeuxine aurantiaca Schlechter (1924: 377) . Type:— CHINA. Yunnan: Shweli-Salween divide, 2400 m, August 1913, Forrest 11914 (holotype E, photo!; isotype PE!); Zeuxine chenkangensis Ormerod (2010: 26) . Type:— CHINA. Yunnan: Chen-Kang Hsien , 1640 m, March 1936, Wang 72192 (holotype AMES; isotype KUN!, PE!, LBG!) .
Flowering: —May.
Habitat: —Open forests at 1400–2400 m.
Distribution: — CHINA: Yunnan ( Jin & Qin 2005). Nepal, Philippines (since specimens from Bhutan, Thailand, Vietnam, northern India , Malaysia and Myanmar were not checked, the distribution is listed according to the literature).

Yunnan: Yingjiang County, Tongbiguan Town , on the surface of trees, 19 July 2011, Hu b28 ( HSNU!) ; Wenshan , terrestrial in the sparse forests in limestone areas, 1400 m, 2 May 2002, Kadoorie 3402 ( PE!) ; Chen-Kang Hsien, 1640 m, March 1936, Wang 72192 ( KUN!, PE!, LBG!. type of Zeuxine chenkangensis ) ; Shweli-Salween divide, 2400 m, August 1913, Forrest 11914 ( PE!, type of Z. aurantiaca ) .
