13. Tachycines (Tachycines) maximus View in CoL sp. nov.

Description. Male. Body rather large. Vertex of head divided into conical tubercles. Legs elongate and slender; fore femora about 1.7–1.8 times as long as the pronotum, ventrally unarmed, internal genicular lobe with a small spine, external genicular lobe with 1 elongate movable spur; fore tibia ventrally with 2 external and 2 internal spurs. Mid femora with an elongate movable spur on the internal and genicular lobe, ventrally unarmed; mid tibiae ventrally with 2 external and 1 internal spur(s). Hind femora ventrally with 5–6 inter spines and without outer spines; hind tibiae above with 63–67 outer and inner spines respectively, arrange in groups. Super internal spur of hind tibia exceeding the dorso-apical spine of metatarsus ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 39–42 ). Hind metatarsus keeled beneath. Epiphallus of male genitalia like the shape of “?”, not truncated at the upper end ( Fig. 41 View FIGURES 39–42 ).
Female. Subgenital plate trapezoidal with hind margin slightly concave ( Fig. 42 View FIGURES 39–42 ). Ovipositor longer than the half of hind femora.
Coloration. Body deep brown with light stripes. Face yellowish with 2 deep brown discontinuous longitudinal bands ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 39–42 ). Legs yellowish brown with dark annular stripes, hind femora dorsally with dark bands.
Measurements. (length in mm) Body ♂ 23.0–24.0, ♀ 24.0; pronotum ♂ 9.0–10.0, ♀ 9.5; fore femora ♂ 16.0– 17.0, ♀ 16.0; hind femora ♂ 32.0–33.0, ♀ 32.0; ovipositor 19.0.
Material examined. Holotype, 1♂, Tiantong Mountain , Zhejiang, 2009-X-7, collected by He Zhu-Qing ; paratype, 1♀, Tiantong Mountain , Zhejiang, 2009-X-7, collected by He Zhu-Qing ; paratype, 1♂, Tiantong Mountain , Zhejiang, 2008-VIII-30, collected by Dai Qi .
Distribution. China (Zhejiang).
Diagnosis. This species is rather similar to T. (T.) meditationis Würmli, 1973 , but differs from the latter in that: body rather large (23.0–24.0mm); fore femora without spines ventrally; epiphallus of male genitalia shaped like trapezoidal, the lateral portion of base projecting.
Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the large size of the body.
