Minilimosina (Svarciella) luteola View in CoL .— Su et al., 2013: 18 –19 [redescription, illustr.] [male].

Diagnosis. Body colour brownish black. Haltere stem pale brown and knob dark brown. Legs entirely dark brown. Anterior dorsocentral seta 2/3 times as long as posterior dorsocentral, posterior dorsocentral half as long as scutellum length, apical scutellar seta subequal to or slightly longer than scutellum length. Acrostichal setae in 8 rows in front of suture. Mid tibia: proximal anterodorsal distinctly longer than distal anterodorsal, distal half with a row of short anteroventral setae, ventroapical seta subequal to width of mid tibia. Mid femur basally with 3–4 posteroventral setae. Wing Cs1 and Cs2 usually black, sometimes basal part of Cs3 black. Cs2 much shorter than Cs3. R2+3 distinctly curved to C. R4+5 sinuate, gently curved to C. Sternite 5 of male ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 19 – 23 ) with a large setulose posteromedial lobe and two spine-like setae in front of it. Tergites 1–5 dark brown and sternites 1–5 pale brown contrasting with black postabdomen.

Female (new): Body length 1.5 mm, wing length 1.3 mm. Ventroapical seta of mid tibia slightly longer than width of mid tibia, mid tibia and mid femur without row of ventral setae. Abdomen with tergites 1–5 brown to black, heavily sclerotized. Syntergite 1+2 moderately large, tergites 3–5 becoming narrower posteriorly ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 24 – 26 ). Sternites 1–5 slightly sclerotized, pale brown, contrasting with brown to black postabdomen.

Female postabdomen: Tergite 6 brown to black, heavily sclerotized, becoming narrower posteriorly, tergites 6– 7 shortened at the middle ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 24 – 26 ). Tergite 8 ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 24 – 26 ) tripartite. Tergite 10 ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 24 – 26 ) with posterior half narrow, dark, setulose, with 2 long setae; its anterior half pale and bare. Sternite 8 ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 24 – 26 ) of peculiar shape, with a large, irregular anterior process, posterior margin dark and setulose, the rest pale and bare. Sternite 10 ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 24 – 26 ) finely setulose but with anterolateral corners pale and bare, posterior half with two pairs of long exclinate setae. A peculiar pale additional sclerite between sternite 8 and sternite 10 present, medially with two dark rod-like parts ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 24 – 26 ). Cercus thicker on basal half, thinner on distal half, dorsoapical seta. Spermathecae ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 24 – 26 ) rather spherical, sculptured; sclerotized part of ducts short, 1/3 as long as spermatheca length.

Tianmu, Xianrentai, sweep, 1505 m, E 119°25′ 45.23″, N 30°20′ 49.56″, 29.Jun.2013, Lixin Su; 3 males: China, Zhejiang, Mt. Tianmu, Qianmutian, sweep, 1334 m, E 119°26′ 49.66″, N 30°23′ 48.20″, 1.Jul.2013, Lixin Su; 3 males: China, Zhejiang, Mt. Tianmu, Qianmutian, sweep, 1334 m, E 119°26′ 49.66″, N 30°23′ 48.20″, 2.Jul.2013, Lixin Su.

Comments. Despite having the scutum with two pairs of short dorsocentral setae, the species should belong to the subgenus Minilimosina according to formation of the genitalia of both sexes. Based on gonostylus with a second enlarged seta anterior to the large posteroventral seta, the species belongs to the clade of M. fungicola ( Haliday, 1836) , M. gemella Roháček, 1983 , M. longisternum Marshall, 1985 and M. intermedia Marshall, 1985 but their mutual relationships are not clear.

Distribution. Oriental: China (Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Zhejiang).
