Type species. Limosina fungicola Haliday, 1836 .— Su, 2011: 70–73, 182–183 [diagnosis, revision of Chinese species, illustr.].
Subgeneric diagnosis. General colour usually dull. Postvertical seta absent. Middle of interfrontal plate brown to black, intervening areas forming a dull, black M-shape mark. Mid femur of male with a row of long ventral setae on basal half, mid tibia of male with a row of spine-like ventral setae. C extended distinctly beyond R4+5. Usually with 1 dorsocentral seta, sometimes a small anterior one present. Sternite 5 of male with a narrow posteromedial lobe covered with comb-like setae. Phallophore and distiphallus simple; distiphallus with sclerotized dorsal and ventral processes and relatively little exposed membrane. Tergites 6 and 7 of female reduced, sternite 8 often greatly reduced.
