Pterygosoma olape Fajfer, 2013: 278 , figs 7−8

Type host: Agama sankaranica (Sauria: Agamidae ). Type locality: Nigeria (Idanre).

Diagnosis. FEMALE. Gnathosoma . Chelicerae about 205 long. Swollen cheliceral part about 1.3 times shorter than slender cheliceral part. Fixed cheliceral digit with numerous apical tines. Setae dF and dG subequal in length. Palpal tibia with short claw, palpal tarsi with 3 setae. Subcapitulum with filiform setae n. Hypostome with smooth rounded apex. Idiosoma 410–505 long and 850–945 wide. Dorsum with 3 groups of setae: 27 pairs of antero-lateral plumose setae; 2 pairs of dorso-median setae: dm1 serrated, dm2 paddle-shaped with spicules on apical part and with 4 pairs of postero-lateral paddle-shaped setae with minute spicules on apical part. Eyes absent. Venter. Setae vm1 filiform, vm2 and vm3 slightly serrate. Peripheral series represented by 3 pairs of paddle-shaped setae with spicules on apical margin situated laterally and 13–14 pairs of setae of 2 types: tapered or apically expanded, located on posterior part of idiosoma . Genital slit situated ventrally. Genital series represented by 1 pair of spine-like setae g1. In 2 non-type species minute setae g2 and g3, about 5 long, present. Pseudanal series represented by 4 pairs of paddle-shaped setae: ps1 and ps2 situated ventrally, ps3 and ps4 situated dorsally. Legs as in inermis group ( Tab. 1). All setae on each podomere filiform, except for plumose setae d’FI–IV. Setation of tarsi I–IV as in group A ( Tab. 2). Setae tc’ of legs II–IV and a’, a”, u’, u”, vs’, vs” of legs I–IV smooth.

MALE. Unknown.

Type material (examined). Holotype from Agama sankaranica Chabanaud (Sauria: Agamidae ) ( ZMUC– R36473), NIGERIA: Ondo State, Idanre, 18−21 August 1958, coll. Schiøtz and Volsøe.

Type material deposition. Holotype in the ZMUC.

Non-type material (examined). Three females (AMU-PTE9.1) from Agama sankaranica [ZMUC−R36424], NIGERIA: Ondo State, Idanre , 18−21 August 1958, coll. Schiøtz and Volsøe.

Host and distribution. This species is known only from Agama sankaranica from Nigeria [Ondo State, Idanre] ( Fajfer 2013a).

Remarks: The original description of the species shows that one pair of conspicuous genital setae is present whereas this study shows that in 1 non-type specimen 2 additional minute genital setae (2 long) are present.
