Types. Holotype, male, 36 mm, MNRJ 19498 View Materials . Paratypes: 13 specimens (four males, five females, four juveniles), MNRJ 18292 View Materials ; four specimens (one male, two females, one juvenile), MNRJ 18293 View Materials .
Type locality. Off the coast of Bahia State, Brazil (14°27’654”S 38°51’130”W), 730–739 m depth .
Habitat. Marine.
Depth range. 687–739 m ( Senna & Serejo 2007).
Feeding strategies. Scavenger, taken in baited traps ( Senna & Serejo 2007).
Distribution. Brazil. Off the coast of Bahia State ( Senna & Serejo 2007).
