Types. Holotype ♂, CHINA, Yunnan, Tengchong County, Mingguang Township, Zizhi Village , up slope, 25.80975°N, 98.62081°E, alt. 2880m, GoogleMaps down slope, 25.79808°N, 98.62406°E, alt. 2756m, 19 May 2006, Chang-min Yin, Jia-fang Hu and Ming-wei Yang leg. ( YHY06 ) GoogleMaps . Paratypes: 1♂, same data as holotype ( YHY06 ); GoogleMaps 1♂, Longyang County, Bawan Township , Nankang Yakou , Understory of forest on E facing slope, 24.83104°N, 98.76864°E, alt. 2210m, 23 May 2005, Heng-mei Yan and Ke-ji Guo leg. Etymology. This epithet derives from the Latin adjective “ projectus ”, meaning “projection”, and referrs to the distal arm of the paracymbium with four projections in the male palp.

Diagnosis. See genus diagnosis ( Fig. 181 View FIGURE 181 , 182 View FIGURE 182 ).

Description. Male (holotype, Fig. 182C–E View FIGURE 182 ): Total length: 1.68. Carapace 0.73 long, 0.59 wide; cephalic lobe 0.29 high, elevated abruptly, bearing PMEs, the pit and sulcus present beneath the cephalic lobe; clypeus and ocular quad, sparsely covered with microsetae, brown; fovea, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.24 high. Sternum longer than wide, brown,, sparsely covered with microsetae. Labium wider than long. Maxillae long, distal end broad with scopulae. Chelicerae sclerotized, pale, with three promarginal and four retromarginal teeth. Eyes: AER recurved, PER procurved, slightly wider than AER. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.05, ALE 0.06, PME 0.05, PLE 0.05, AME–AME 0.01, PME–PME 0. 13, AME–ALE, 0.02, PME–PLE 0.06, AME–PME 0.15, ALE–ALE 0.25, PLE–PLE 0.26, ALE–PLE 0.01. Length of legs: I 2.30 (0.61, 0.74, 0.56, 0.39), II 2.51 (0.69, 0.80, 0.61, 0.41), III 1.89 (0.54, 0.56, 0.48, 0.31), IV 2.30 (0.65, 0.70, 0.59, 0.36). Leg formula II-I-IV-III. Tm I 0.28 and Tm IV 0.21. Patella I with a long thick spine. Tibial spines thick and long; tibial spine formula: 1-1-1-1. Abdomen 1.09 long, 0.69 wide, oval, pale, mid dorsally with a longitudinal greenish-grey band followed by two chevrons posteriorly, ventral side pale.

Palp ( Fig. 181A–D View FIGURE 181 , 182A, B View FIGURE 182 ): Patella as long as tibia, dorsally with a thick long spine; tibia with one reterolateral and one dorsal trichobothria, with sclerotized reterolateral, dorsal and prolateral apophyses; paracymbium sclerotized, distal arm with four projections; distal suprategular apophysis sclerotized, wider than long; tegulum with a small transparent protegulum. Embolic division: radix sclerotized, broad and round; embolic membrane arises from inner margin of radix; terminal apophysis sclerotized, longer than wide, with serrated tip; embolus arises from lateral margin of the radix, long and curved.

Female. Unknown.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality ( Fig. 183 View FIGURE 183 ).
