Types: Holotype ♀, CHINA, Yunnan, Nujiang Prefecture, Nujiang State Nature Reserve, Dulong Gongshan Yakou area , 21 km W of Gongshan, 27.69655°N, 98.45389°E, alt. 3300–3680m, 16–17 July 2000, Heng-mei Yan, D.H. Etymology: The epithet is a patronym in honor of Prof. Yan Heng-mei, who contributed much work to the taxonomy of Chinese spiders; noun.
Diagnosis: This new species can be distinguished from all other congeners by: the entrance grooves with four and half coils before entering the spermathecae ( Fig. 280C, D View FIGURE 280 ), spermathecae elliptical ( Fig. 280C, D View FIGURE 280 ).
Description. Female (holotype, Fig. 281A, B View FIGURE 281 ). Total length 3.36. Carapace 1.22 long, 0.94 wide, dark brown; fovea, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.24 high. Sternum dark brown, longer than wide, with sparse hairs. Labium brown, wider than long. Maxillae long, distal end pale, broader with scopulae and spinelike hairs. Chelicerae yellow, with five promarginal and four retromarginal teeth, stridulatory striae absent. AER recurved, PER straight, slightly wider. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.08, ALE 0.09, PME 0.08, PLE 0.08, AME–AME 0.04, PME–PME 0.06, AME–ALE, 0.05, PME–PLE 0.07, AME–PME 0.08, ALE–ALE 0.44, PLE–PLE 0.47 ALE–PLE contiguous. Length of legs: I 4.49 (1.21, 1.37, 1.13, 0.78), II 4.25 (1.18, 1.32, 1.09, 0.66), III 2.81 (0.89, 0.84, 0.67, 0.41), IV 3.80 (1.13, 1.19, 0.94, 0.54), long, slender, yellow. Leg formula: I-II-IVIII. Tm I 0.51. Tibial spine formula: 2-2-2-2.Abdomen; 2.14 long, 1.48 wide, cylindrical, mid dorsally with distinct pattern and a longitudinal yellow strip on each side; ventral side grayish brown.
Epigyne ( Fig. 280A–D View FIGURE 280 ): Aperture oval, septum relatively squeezed, dividing aperture into two parts. Parmula relatively reduced. Vulva: entrance grooves very thick, each with four and half coils, spermathecae pointing in opposite direction from each other.
Male. Unknown.
