Pieris napi group
Diagnosis. The Pieris napi species-group is distinct from the other groups of the genus Pieris ( brassicae -group and rapae -group) in having the wing veins thickly suffused with black scales, both ventrally and dorsally, and stout neck lamina with the larger scent gland of the androconia (lamina long with smaller scent gland in the brassicae -group, whereas slender lamina with narrow neck and small scent gland in the rapae -group).
