Osteocephalus Steindachner, 1862

The delimitation will be presented following the traditional five Osteocephalus species groups of Jungfer et al. (2013), plus an additional species group here labelled as ‘ Osteocephalus mimeticus group’. The species in this latter group were previously considered as part of the O. buckleyi group by Jungfer et al. (2013), but we recognise it as an additional group because it displays an age of divergence similar to the other five species groups (mean ≥ 10 Mya).
