Size medium to large of tribe Meconematini , quite robust, brachypterous. Metazona of male elevated somewhat, terminal area down curved, hind margin of paranota oblique but gently convex; auditory foramina of thorax entirely exposed; each femur unarmed, both tympana of fore tibiae open, each genicular lobe of hind femur usually bearing an apical spine, rarely variable, hind tibiae with 2 paired apical spurs; acoustical opening fully exposed; tegmina largely covered by metazona, with stridulating organ in male. 10th abdominal tergite of male bearing unpaired process, but middle with a deep sulcus; titillator completely sclerotized but concealed between terminal tergite and subgenital plate, can be observed in posterior view; subgenital plate of female small, globularly swelled, ovipositor short and rigid, margins smooth, without apical hook.
