2006 Stenocypris hirutai n. sp. — Smith & Kamiya: 337 –339, figs. 2f–i, 6, 7.

Material examined: Three females from JFL11, one female ( ECNU 20170413/HN15) dissected; five females from JFL15, one female ( ECNU 20170413/HN16) dissected.

Dimensions: Female, RV, n = 1, length 1.407 mm, height 0.549 mm; LV, n = 1, length 1.449 mm, height 0.579 mm.

Distribution: This species has been reported from Japan ( Smith & Kamiya 2006; Tanaka et al. 2015), South Korea ( Smith et al. 2015) and Zhejiang in China ( Ma & Yu 2018). This species was found in Jianfengling National Forest Park on Hainan Island.

Remarks: Hainan Island is the southernmost record of this species.
