Dimensions: Female, LV, n = 1, length 0.520 mm, height 0.360 mm. Male, RV, n = 1, length 0.578 mm, height 0.367 mm.
Distribution: This species has been reported from the Nearctic, Oriental and Palearctic regions ( Meisch 2000; Yu et al. 2010). In China, this species has been reported from Beijing ( Zhai & Zhao 2014), Guizhou ( Kong et al. 2013), Jiangsu ( Yu et al. 2005), Shanghai ( Yao et al. 2016), Yunnan ( Yu et al. 2010) and Zhejiang ( Ma & Yu 2018). This is the southernmost occurrence in China. On Hainan Island, P. kraepelini was the most common species found during our surveys, present in Danzhou, Haikou, Jianfengling National Forest Park, Qionghai, Sanya, Wanning, Wuzhi Mountain and Wenchang.
