Celiamorphus contractus Casey 1914: 144 View in CoL . Type locality: North Carolina ( Southern Pines , Moore Co.) . Types: USNM #47876.
Descriptive Notes. Pronotum proportionately very wide (average PL/PW = 0.53); anterior angles strongly projected; hind angles distinctly obtuse to minutely subdentate. Elytra with seriate punctures small; microsculpture cells stretched (2:1–3:1). Dorsum darkly bronzed. Legs dark reddish-brown. Dimorphism + ♂ 1 — ♀ 1. Median lobe with dorsoapical plate, its sides converging to minute dorsally-bent tip, not swollen. Endophallus unarmed. ABL 4.2–4.8 mm.
Range. USA: AL*, FL*, GA, NC.
