Selenophorus fossulatus Dejean 1829: 88 View in CoL . Type locality: North America. Types: MNHN.
Descriptive Notes. Head proportionately large compared to pronotum. Femora often piceous, rest of legs lighter. Dimorphism + ♂ 1 — ♀ 1. Median lobe with shaft and dorsoapical plate slender, more so than in S. ellipticus View in CoL . Endophallus middle 1/3 filled with 2 long parallel rows of moderately-sized spines, densely packed. ABL 5.3–6.2 mm.
Range. USA: AL, FL, GA, MS, NC.
