Material examined: BU: Bugio Norte, 27.IV.2011, 13 males, 17 females, DS, 27.IV-19.V.2011, 3 males, 2 females, PF, A. Serrano et al. leg., ASC ; Bugio Sul, 27.IV.2011, 6 males, 9 females, DS, 27.IV-19.V.2011, 1 female, PF, A. Serrano et al. leg., ASC ; Planalto Sul, 27.IV.2011, 2 females, DS, A. Serrano leg., ASC .
Remarks: An endemic species of Madeira Archipelago, occurring in all three Desertas Islands. It was sampled by direct collection and pitfall trapping in the Bugio plateau. It is a ground-dwelling pratincolous species very common in Bugio and often found under stones together with S. abbreviatus desertarum and C. complanatus vandeli .
