TYPE SPECIES. — Polyxenus rubromarginatus Lucas, 1846 .

SPECIES INCLUDED. — Macroxenus rubromarginatus ; M. caingangensis ( Schubart, 1944) ; M. enghoffi Nguyen Duy-Jacquemin, 1996 .

REMARKS

This genus was created by Brölemann (1917) for the type species Polyxenus rubromarginatus Lucas, 1846 from Algeria (environs of Oran). Brölemann (1917) redescribed this species from material collected at Blida (alt. 1500 m).
