Description. MALE. Length 3.7 mm. Head and mesosoma almost black, metasoma dark castaneous. Wings subhyaline. Clypeus with median lobe slightly concave, apical margin thick in frontal view, medially with wide trapezoidal polished area; median carina absent. Frons strongly coriaceous, punctures little distinguishable from texture surface. Vertex almost straight. Notaulus present on anterior third of mesoscutum. Propodeal disc rugose. Hypopygium ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 10 – 22 ) with posterior margin with deep and narrow median emargination. Genitalia ( Figs 50–53 View FIGURES 42 – 53 ). Basal parameral expansion subquadrate. Basivolsella with huge serrulate spine-shaped basal expansion, apicad. Aedeagal ventral ramus very short, laminar, surface vertical, elliptical in lateral view. Aedeagal dorsal body with three pairs of apical lobes, outer pair laminar, surface vertical, apex slightly sharpened and somewhat ventrad; ventral pair laminar, surface strongly concave, apex with spine-shaped dorsal corner and rounded ventral corner, inner face with conical ventral expansion; inner pair membranous, hairy.

Holotype ♂ UGANDA, Kibale National Park, Kanyawara, Makerere, University Biological Field Station, Rainforest, 12-26.viii.2008, S. van Noort, Malaise trap, 1494m, 0°34.80’N 30°21.87’E, UG08-KF5-M15, secondary mid-altitude, marshy area ( ISAM). Paratypes: UGANDA, Kibale National Park, Kanyawara, Makerere, University Biological Field Station, Rainforest, 12-26.viii.2008, S. van Noort, Malaise trap, 0 1 ♂, 1498m, 0°33.960’N 30°21.267’E, UG08-KF1-M11, secondary mid-altitude, 0 2 ♂, 1506m, 0°33.891’N 30°21.468’E, UG08-KF7-M17, primary mid-altitude, 0 1 ♂, 1587m, °34.390’N 30°21.658’E, UG08-KF9-M19, primary mid-altitude, near stream, ( ISAM); GABON, 0 1 ♂, Plateau d’Ipassa EPI 1, IPA 6, J. A. Barra ( MCZH).
Etymology. This species is named after Lynn Kimsey, for her contribution on the studies of Chrysididae and Tiphiidae .
