Description. MALE. Length 3.0 mm. Head black, metasoma and mesosoma dark castaneous. Wings subhyaline. Clypeus with median lobe concave (bidentate), apical margin thick in frontal view, medially with wide trapezoidal polished area; median carina absent. Frons strongly coriaceous, punctures little distinguishable from texture surface. Frons with anterior median small callus. Vertex almost straight. Notaulus present on anterior half of mesoscutum. Propodeal disc rugose. Hypopygium ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 10 – 22 ) with posterior margin with short and narrow median emargination, with sides subparallel. Genitalia ( Figs 54–56 View FIGURES 54 – 62 ). Basal parameral expansion subconical. Aedeagal ventral ramus very short, laminar, surface vertical, apex rounded in lateral view. Aedeagal dorsal body with three pairs of apical lobes, outer pair laminar, surface vertical, dilated subapically, apex sharpened and ventrad in lateral view; ventral pair laminar, surface vertical, apex somewhat sharpened, inclined dorsal; inner pair membranous, hairy.
FEMALE unknown.
Material examined. Holotype ♂, CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC, Prefecture Sangha-Mbaéré, Parc National de Dzanga-Ndoki, 38.6km 173°S Lidjombo, 2°21.60’N 16°03.20’E, 350m, 24-25.v.2001, S. van Noort, Malaise trap, CAR 01-M206, Lowland rainforest ( ISAM).
Etymology. This species is named after Norman Johnson, for his contribution on the studies of Platygastridae .
