Bolbochromus (Metabolbochromus) sulcicollis (Wiedemann, 1819)
( Figs. 17–18 View FIGURES 17 – 24 , 41, 58–59)
Identification. Clypeogenal angles as well as clypeal apex distinctly tuberculate, i.e., clypeus actually trituberculate along its outer margin. Pronotum and scutellum usually largely black or dark brown, pronotal sides with two more or less contiguous brown markings; elytra with shallowly impressed striae, usually medium-brown (castaneous, lacking discrete lighter markings), more convex interstria 1 may be infuscate; pronotum and elytra occasionally uniformly black(-brown), on the other hand, generally much lighter specimens also occur. Apicomedian tubercle of clypeus and postfrontal tubercle long in major individuals. Median sulcus of pronotum distinct, adjacent surface on either side convex, anteromedian surface slightly, broadly depressed (occasionally slightly deplanate, Fig. 18 View FIGURES 17 – 24 ). Body length usually 8.5–11.5 mm.
Distribution. Indonesia: Java, Sulawesi, islands off southeast Sumatra (! Belitung), possibly elsewhere in Sundaland.
