Type locality: [ Kazakhstan, Almaty Region] Dzhungarsky Alatau Mts, 6 km SE Rudnichnyi, Koksu River Canyon , N44°41', E78°58', 1300–1400 m [Kz5] ( Farzalieva 2006) GoogleMaps .
Lithobius (Monotarsobius) minimus Farzalieva, 2006: 105 View in CoL (26 ♂♂, 17 ♀♀).

Previous records. Kazakhstan: Almaty Region —Dzhungarian Alatau Mts, Koksu [Kz5] and Tyshkan [Kz8] river canyons ( Farzalieva 2006).
Habitat records. Forests: Betula , Populus , Picea etc. on 1300–1400 m, Picea with Salix , Berberis etc. bush on 1700–1800 m ( Farzalieva 2006).
Remarks. Dányi & Tuf (2012) introduced a new name L. (M.) farzalievae for L. (M.) minimus because it is a junior primary homonym of L. (L.) minimus L. Koch, 1862 .
Known from Kazakhstan, Almaty Region, only.
