Distribution. from southern Mexico southward through South America to eastern Brazil. In Brazil this species occurs in the states of Acre, Alagoas, Amazonas, Amapá, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Pará, Piauí, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Roraima, and Rondônia ( Reis et al. 2007).

Habitat. R. naso is a species associated with water courses and lakes in lowland regions (up to 900 m) ( Jones & Hood 1993). It can live in colonies with up to 80 individuals ( Reis et al. 2007). The only individual collected by us was captured by mist net on the right edge of the São Domingo River (12° 54’ 50.8” S – 47° 34’ 0.7” W), in Paranã, TO.

Voucher specimen. One adult female – CHUNB 1242.
