MESOPLOPHORIDAE Ewing, 1916 View in CoL
In Mesoplophoridae View in CoL , four genera exist, but only species of the genus Mesoplophora Berlese, 1904 View in CoL were found on the Passalidae View in CoL . Forty-two species have been described in this genus but only four species from 13 host species have been collected. Unidentified Mesoplophora View in CoL were collected from 13 host species. In total, mites were collected from 15 host species ( Norton 1980; Niedbała 1985, 1985; Poinar et al. 1998; Villegas-Guzmán et al. 1998; Ermilov and Frolov 2019, 2021; Martinez et al. 2020; Ermilov and OConnor 2021). The largest number of host species was found for Mesoplophora flavida Niedbała, 1985 View in CoL (7) and M. subtilis Niedbała, 1981 View in CoL (6). Only Mesoplophora flavida View in CoL , M. permodica View in CoL and Mesoplophora sp. have been found on Macrolinus latipenis (Percheron, 1841) ( Tables 2– 6 View Table 2 View Table 3 , 13).
