Glabrous, glaucous, perennial herbs, 29–35 cm tall, stem solitary, simple, and leafy. Basal leaves entire or somewhat toothed, ovate or oblong-ovate, obtuse, attenuate into petiole, 10–30 × 4–9 mm. Cauline leaves entire, auriculateamplexicaul with short ovate to obtuse auricles; elongate-ovate or elliptic-ovate, glaucescent, 7–40 × 5–17 mm, rather obtuse at apex, sessile. Racemes rather dense, 2–16 cm long, 20–100-flowered, elongated in fruit. Fruiting pedicels horizontal, lower 5.5–8 mm, upper 3–5 mm. Sepals white-margined, 2 mm. Petals white, obovate, 4 × 2.5 mm. Filaments 0.2–0.4 × 0.15–0.2 mm, anthers ovate, 0.45–0.55, yellow. Fruits narrowly winged, oblong, lower ones 8.5–9 mm, upper ones 6–7 × 3–4 mm, cuneate at base, emarginate at apex; apical sinus narrow, deep, ovate or suborbicular; wings narrow, forming ± obtuse lobes at apex, subincurved at notch, style short, 0.2–0,4 mm, 1/2–1/3× sinus. Seeds ovate, tuberculate, orange to reddish, 7–9 per locule, 1.55 × 1 mm.

Habitat: Marshy mountain meadows

Altitude: 1900–2300 m.

Flowering and fruiting time: May–June.

General distribution: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkey.
