0125–HNU-HB-20180828-0127).
Description. Male (HNU-HB-20180828-0125). Total length 2.52. Prosoma 1.17 long, 1.06 wide. Opisthosoma 1.35 long, 1.26 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.28, ALE 0.15, PLE 0.14, AME–AME 0.02, AME–ALE 0.04, AREW 0.91, PERW 0.98, EFL 0.57. Legs: I 1.95 (0.65, 0.80, 0.26, 0.24); II 1.55 (0.51, 0.59, 0.21, 0.24); III 1.41 (0.45, 0.50, 0.22, 0.24); IV 1.73 (0.57, 0.61, 0.31, 0.24). Prosoma ( Fig. 1E View FIGURE 1 ) almost quadrate, red-brown, the eyes field darker, densely covered with white setae. Fovea and radial grooves invisible. Chelicerae ( Figs 1D View FIGURE 1 , 4H View FIGURE 4 ) red-brown, with 2 small promarginal and 1 big retromarginal teeth. Endites ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ) longer than wide, the inner side with scopulae. Labium ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ) dark brown, the apex pale, with bristles. Sternum ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ) red-brown, the rim covered with thin setae. Legs ( Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 D–E) with setae, yellow to red-brown, leg I most robust. Opisthosoma ( Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 D–E) oval, the dorsum ( Fig. 1E View FIGURE 1 ) yellowish-brown, with a longitudinal band and three pairs of sigillae followed by several chevrons, covered by a scutum and white setae; the ventral side ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ) pale, with three longitudinal grey stripes medially, covered by thin setae. Palp ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 A–C, 4I–J) tibia wider than long, the retrolateral apophysis beak-shaped with blunted tip in ventral view. Cymbial process lamellar, about three times longer than wide, with an arciform margin and close to the retrolateral tibial apophysis. Bulb oval, with spermatophore duct extending along the margin. Embolus slender, arises from the plate-like base, superimposes on the surface of the bulb.
Female (HNU-HB-20180828-0126). Total length 3.23. Prosoma 1.30 long, 1.10 wide. Opisthosoma 1.98 long, 1.34 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.30, ALE 0.14, PLE 0.13, AME–AME 0.01, AME–ALE 0.03, AREW 0.91, PERW 1.05, EFL 0.64. Legs: I 1.96 (0.64, 0.81, 0.26, 0.25); II 1.64 (0.57, 0.56, 0.24, 0.27); III 1.58 (0.51, 0.56, 0.24, 0.27); IV 2.08 (0.71, 0.74, 0.34, 0.29). Characters of prosoma ( Fig. 1F View FIGURE 1 ) similar to that of male. Opisthosoma ( Fig. 1F View FIGURE 1 ) long, oval, the dorsum ( Fig. 1F View FIGURE 1 ) with alternate light and brown stripes, three pairs of sigillae followed by several chevrons, covered by thin setae; the ventral side similar to that of male. Epigyne ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 D–E) with a large transverse fold anterior-medially. Copulatory openings small, anteriorly situated. Copulatory ducts short, connected with the junction of spermathecae. Spermathecae with two chambers, the anterior pair much larger and extending toward the posterior margin of epigyne, the posterior pair round.
Distribution. Known from China (Hubei) and Japan.
