Asetidicrothrix gen. nov.
Diagnosis. Dorsal pedipalp genual setae (d) bifurcated, prodorsal shield with frontal lobe, scapular tubercles set ahead of rear shield margin; coxae I with 2 pairs of setae, coxae II with 1 pair of setae; tibial setae (l ΄), genu II setae (l''), setae d and setae e absent; tarsal empodium entire; dorsal opisthosoma with anterior annuli fused forming a broad plate, median and lateral ridges present; anterior ventral annuli narrower than dorsal annuli, posterior ventral annuli broad and equal to dorsal annuli.
Type species. Asetidicrothrix luculiae sp. nov.
Etymology. Aseti, referring to ventral setae e absent, and the generic name Dicrothrix Keifer, 1966 , to which the new genus is similar.
Remarks. The new genus is similar to Dicrothrix Keifer, 1966 , but can be differentiated from the latter by the ventral setae e being absent and the anterior ventral annuli narrower than the dorsal annuli. In Dicrothrix , the ventral setae e are present and all the ventral annuli are broad and equal to dorsal annuli ( Keifer 1966).
