Sticherus boliviensis (Maxon & C.V.Morton) J.Gonzales, Phytotaxa View in CoL 31: 20, f. 9. 2011.
= Dicranopteris boliviensis Maxon & C.V.Morton, Bull. Torrey Bot. View in CoL Club 66: 44. 1939.
= Gleichenia boliviensis (Maxon & C.V.Morton) Lellinger, Amer. Fern J. View in CoL 74(2): 57. 1984.
Range: —Southern Peru (Puno) and northern Bolivia (LP).
Ecology: —Common; disturbed habitats, roadsides, and landslides, in humid forests; 2400–3400 m.
Notes: —May be confused with S. peruvianus , which has a similar outline of the ultimate branches and similar blade size, but has trifid pseudostipules and lanceolate midvein scales. Several Bolivian specimens with malformed spores and intermediate morphology probably represent hybrids between S. boliviensis and S. lechleri .
