Range: — Guyana and southeastern Venezuela; Andes from northwestern Venezuela to Bolivia (CO, LP, SC).
Ecology: —Locally fairly common; open habitats in humid forests; (550)1200–2800(3500) m.
Notes: —Usually recognized by the long 1 st branches, which greatly exceed subsequent (more distal) branches in length, and by the uniform length of all branches from the 2 nd onwards.
