Range: —Antilles; mountains from southern Mexico to southeastern Venezuela and Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Fairly common but local; terrestrial along rivers and roads, and in open ridge forests, often scrambling over shrubs and small trees, sometimes forming thickets; 1900–2450 m in Bolivia, 900–2800 m elsewhere .
