Comments. This species is abundant and widespread in Tunisia. Specimens were collected in springtime, in temporal or permanent streams, with abundant riparian vegetation. It was first recorded from Tunisia by Horváth (1906) under the name of Notonecta glauca L. var. maculate Fabricius in Oued Melina.

Distribution. It occurs in Palearctic region (Polhemus 1995; Carapezza 1997; Fent et al. 2011).
