Notonecta meridionalis Poisson

Material examined. Station 12, 16 -vii- 2013, 1 ♂; 26 -xii- 2013, 1♀.

Comments. This species was collected in Tunisia only in a stream at high altitude. It was first recorded from Tunisia by Carapezza ( 1997) in the north (Aïn Draham, Jendouba).

Distribution. Occurs in the southern parts of western and central Europe, northern Africa and Turkey (Polhemus 1995; Carapezza 1997; Fent et al. 2011).
