Distribution: United States: AL, AR, FL, GA, IL, LA, MA ( Evans 1966), MS, NC, NM (Bundy 2012), OH, OK, SC, TN ( Lambdin et al. 2003), TX, VA. (cosmopolitan in tropical and semi-temperate regions)

Comments: Simons (1969), in an unpublished thesis, recorded this species from Alabama, Florida, and New Jersey; the Alabama record is corroborated by our record listed above, but the records from Massachusetts ( Evans 1966) and New Jersey need further confirmation. According to Roch (2020), this species has been intercepted at ports of entry in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
