In Mexico is found in Cabo Pulmo, Puerto Escondido, Cerritos, Espíritu Santo Island, Tecolote, Punta Coyote and Balandra, along the coast of Baja California Sur; in Los Angeles Bay, in the coast of Baja California; and in Puerto Peñasco and Tiburon Island, in the coast of Sonora ( Carlgren 1949, 1951; Daly 2004a; Hendrickx et al. 2005; Quesada et al. 2015; Barragán et al. 2019). This is the first record for Playa Esmeralda, in Baja California; and in Punta Eugenia, Bahía Asunción, Punta Abreojos and San Juanico, in Baja California Sur.
