Short description. (See Fautin et al. 2007; Barragán et al. 2019)

Natural history. Bunodosoma grande inhabits the intertidal zone to about 5 m deep, abundant in the shallow subtidal. Subtidal individuals can be found on exposed surfaces, occasionally surrounded by encrusting sponges ( Fautin et al. 2007). The specimen collected in Magdalena Bay was found attached to a mangrove trunk.

Distribution. Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panamá, Ecuador and Perú ( Verrill 1869, 1870; Carlgren 1949; Häussermann 2004; Fautin et al. 2007; Acuña et al. 2013; Barragán et al. 2019). This is the first record for Punta Abreojos, Punta Eugenia and Bahía Magdalena, along the coast of Baja California.
