Smittia nudipennis (Goetghebuer, 1913: 166) (Camptocladius) View in CoL .
Bryophaenocladius togatenuis Sasa et Okazawa, 1992: 136 View in CoL . syn. n.
Specimen examined: Japan: Toyama Pref., Toga Village , holotype ♂ of Bryophaenocladius togatenuis View in CoL , 31. v. 1990, T. Okazawa & M. Sasa [specimen No. 180:61 (NSMT-I-Dip 4702)] .
Pubescent eyes, a terminal seta on last antennal flagellomere, no acrostichal setae, a moderately extended costa and a strongly sinuous Cu 2 are observed in the holotype of Bryophaenocladius togatenuis . These features indicate that the species belongs to the genus Smittia Holmgren. Furthermore , the hypopygial features are quite consistent with those of Smittia nudipennis .
