Verbatim type locality: “ Ganina River , three miles southwest of San Dieguito ”

Type locality: Río Gallinas (Gulf of Mexico—Río Pa ́nuco— Río Tampao ́n), 4.5 km SW of San Dieguito, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, [21.98691, -99.25485] .

Type specimens: Lectotype: ANSP 99523 a designated by Johnson & Baker (1973:156, as the holotype) . Paralectotypes: all from the type locality, ANSP 99523 (4), INHS 82200 (3), MCZ 189371 (15) ( Johnson 1956:116, as cotypes) .
