Distribution. India: Assam ( Lahiri & Biswas 1990), Karnataka ( Crawford 1919, as Tyora indica ; Mathur 1975), West Bengal ( Mathur 1975); Sri Lanka ( Enderlein 1918, as Udamostigma lutheri ).
Host plant. Urena lobata (Malvaceae) .
Comments. Burckhardt and Harten (2006) list Mesohomotoma hibisci (Froggatt) from India based on the record of M. lutheri and the probable synonymy with the former ( Hollis 1987).
