Type locality: Tortugas, SW Channel, Bird Key Reef.

Type material: MCZ (HT).

Remarks: Fauchald (1977:62) stated that specimens from Panama identified as Perkinsiana fonticula ( Hoagland, 1919) are adjusted to the Augener´s description for Potamilla floridana , although he did not synonymized both species.
