Spermogonia and aecia densely scattered all over the infected leaves or arranged in groups (in type of A. annonaceicola ); spermogonia adaxial, of group VI, type 5, black, subepidermal, hemispherical convex, 250–300 μm in diameter and up to150 μm high. Aecia of Aecidium View in CoL type, abaxial, 0.3–0.4 mm in diameter, cup shaped, surrounded by a whitish peridium, aeciospores cubical, roundish to oblong ellipsoid, 16–19.1–23 × 13–16.2–20 μm, length-width ratio 0.9– 1.17–1.5, wall 1–2 μm thick, ornament fine, evenly verruculose, refracting bodies absent, peridial cells in face view ovoid to rhomboid, 20–45 × 15–30 μm, peridial cells in longitudinal section 10–15 μm wide, walls at inner sides up to 5 μm thick, smooth, outward facing walls 1 μm thick, with up to 2 μm high tuberculate ornamentations.

Host and distribution: on Diospyros hispida A. DC. (det. B. Wallnöfer) in Brazil, Goiás.

Types: BRAZIL. Goiás, Meia Ponte, Oct 1892, host labeled as Annona sp. , leg. E. Ule no. 1919 (holotype: B 700014119 ; isotypes: BPI US0151214 , NY s.n., NY 00610910 , PC 0096712 only drawings, S F25668 ) (0, I) .
