Type species. Draconarius venustus Ovtchinnikov, 1999 , by original designation.

Diagnosis and description. Male palp with cymbial furrow about 1/2 cymbial length ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ) or more than 1/2 cymbial length ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ); conductor short and pointed at the end ( Figs 3B View FIGURE 3 , 5B View FIGURE 5 ); lamella of conductor large, the left side higher than the right in ventral view ( Figs 3B View FIGURE 3 , 5B View FIGURE 5 ); median apophysis spoon-shaped. The epigyne with short teeth, medially situated and widely separated ( Figs 1A View FIGURE 1 , 2A View FIGURE 2 , 4A View FIGURE 4 , 6A View FIGURE 6 ) or anteriorly situated and close together ( Fig. 7A View FIGURE 7 ); copulatory ducts short; spermathecae large and broad; spermathecal heads located anteriorly ( Figs 2B View FIGURE 2 , 7B View FIGURE 7 ) or medially ( Figs 1B View FIGURE 1 , 4B View FIGURE 4 , 6B View FIGURE 6 ).
