Note: Navás (1931b: 83) reported faunistic data for Creoleon murinus , a taxon considered to be a synonym of C. plumbeus , from Mumbai, India, and was followed by Sala de Castellarnau (1946: 121). Later, it was cited by Stange (2004: 143), as C. plumbeus . Hagen (1866: 401) designated C. griseus , another species known from the Indian fauna , as a synonym of C. plumbeus , offering another possible justification for the species’ inclusion in Indian fauna. To our knowledge, however, there are no explicit Indian records for C. plumbeus in the literature, and we remove the species from the Indian fauna following Suryanarayanan et al. (2024b: 6).
