Neochauliodes sinensis meridionalis van der Weele, 1909a: 260 . Type locality: Vietnam (Tonkin).
World distribution: China, Thailand, Vietnam [not India] ( van der Weele 1909a: 261; Martins et al. 2022; Oswald 2024a).
Note: Recent revisionary and monographic work on the genus Neochauliodes (e.g., Liu et al. 2010a) has restricted the distribution of this species to China and southeastern Asia. Previous records from India, for example, from Arunachal Pradesh ( Ghosh 1981a: 200; Ghosh 2000a: 114) are considered to be misidentifications and the species is excluded here from the Indian fauna.
