Type material. Holotype male, China: Fujian Province, Wuyishan City, Wuyi Mountain Natural Conversation, Sangan, 24.iv.1993, light trap, X.H. Wang (BDN No. 0 2260). Paratype: 1 male, China: Sichuan Province, Shimian County, Nanya River, 16.vi.1996, light trap, X.H. Wang (BDN N0. 11728). Etymology. The species name, from Latin galbinus, yellow, refers to the colour of the abdomen. Diagnostic characters. The new species can be distinguished from other members of the genus by the yellowish abdomen.
Description. Male (n = 2). Total length 4.60–5.02 mm. Wing length 2.70–2.95 mm. Total length / wing length 1.7–1.7. Wing length / length of profemur 2.16–2.45.
Coloration. Head including antenna brown. Ground colour of thorax brown, black pigmentation confined to the anterior half of the postnotum ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 14 – 16 ). Abdomen including hypopygium yellow. Legs brown. Wing unmarked ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 14 – 16 ).
Head. AR 1.91 (n = 1). Temporal setae 22, including 18 verticals and 4 postorbitals. Clypeus with 43–46 setae. Tentorium 180–200 µm long, 40 µm wide. Length of palpomeres 1–5 (in µm): 70–75, 90–110, 180–235, 235–295, 315–400.
Wing ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 14 – 16 ). VR 0.88–0.95. Brachiolum with 2 long setae. Squama with 40–54 setae. Thorax chaetotaxy. Antepronotals 6; dorsocentrals 32–36, acrostichals 68–70, prealars 30–32, preepisternals 4, scutellars 40–48.
Legs. Spur on fore tibia 60–63 µm long with 10 lateral teeth. Spurs on mid tibia 55–65 and 75–95 µm long with 6 and 9 lateral teeth. Spurs on hind tibia 48–65 and 73–110 µm long, with 6 and 8 lateral teeth. Tibial comb on hind leg with 6 setae. Length of legs segments and leg ratios in Table 2.

Remarks. The species was collected in a subtropical mountain area in Fujian and Sichuan province in Oriental China.
