( Figure 41 View FIGURES 36 – 43 )

Creontiades fruhstorferi Poppius, 1915a: 26 View in CoL –27 (as new species); Carvalho 1959: 75 (catalog); Schuh 1995: 744 (catalog), 2002–2013 (online catalog).

Material examined. Type specimens: lectotype Ƌ of Creontiades fruhstorferi (present designation): INDONESIA: LOMBOK: Sambalun, iv.1896, H. Fruhstorfer leg. ( MZHF) [the specimen dissected, the genitalic structures glued on the card]. Paralectotypes (1♀, 1?) (present designation): INDONESIA: LOMBOK: Sambalun, 4000 feets, iv.1896, H. Fruhstorfer leg. ( MZHF) [the female with two additional labels: Poppius’ original handwritten identification label with the mention “ Creontiades fruhstorferi n. sp. ” and a label with the mention “Wien”].

Diagnosis. Body uniformly dark brown to black. Head, cuneus and first and second antennal segments also black, third and fourth antennal segments basally yellow and apically blackish brown; sulcus of vertex very narrow. Legs yellow, tibial spines black. Hemelytra dark brown, rugose on clavus and exocorium, punctation very reduced but very dense, pilosity short, recumbent, white.

Discussion. The types of O. fruhstorferi conform to our diagnosis of Orientomiris on the basis of external anatomy; hence we suggest the new combination. The accurate number of specimens originally included in the typeseries is not specified by Poppius (1915a), although both sexes were included in the description. Accordingly, we apply Recommendation 73F of the Code (ICZN 1999) to determine the status of type-series specimens. The types originally were from Budapest and Vienna Museums ( Poppius 1915a). Three specimens are now preserved in MZHF.
