Geographical distribution: Colombia and Brazil. Perez-Goodwyn (2006) restricted the distribution of this species to Colombia, and Southeastern and Southern Brazil. Records from outside this area are not considered here.
Distribution in Brazil: Southeast and South regions (MG, SP, RJ, PR, SC) (Nieser & Melo 1997; Ribeiro 2005; Perez-Goodwyn 2006).
