Virgin Islands, Anguilla, St. Martin, Saba, St. Kitts & Nevis, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Aruba, Colombia, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Barbados, Curaçao, Klein Curaçao, Bonaire, Klein Bonaire, Grenada, Venezuela, Trinidad & Tobago, Panama, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, and Argentina.
Distribution in Brazil: all regions (AM, PE [Fernando de Noronha], MG, MS, ES, RJ, SC) ( Drake & Plaumann 1953, 1955; Nieser & Melo 1997; Melo & Nieser 2004; Pelli et al. 2006; Souza et al. 2006; Pereira & Melo 2007; Ribeiro et al. 2010).
Comments: This species was recorded from “Rio Caraguatá, Matto Grosso” [MT] by Drake and Plaumann (1953), but the area now belongs to MS.
