Pseudosphex fuscus Zerny, 1931b: 5 (Taf. 1, fig. 11). Holotype male [by monotypy]: COLOMBIA, Muzo, 400–800m (Fassl); with two labels: printed label “Muzo, Colombia, 4–800m coll. Fassl” and handwritten label ” Pseudosphex fuscus Zerny ♂ type ”.
Current combination. Myrmecopsis fuscus (Zerny, 1931) .
Condition of the type. Left hindleg broken.
Remarks. Simmons & Weller (2006) transferred this species to Myrmecopsis . Cerda (2008) mentioned M. fuscus when describing a similar species, M. francoisi Cerda, 2008 .
